The 2024 International Student Culture Day of Shanghai University ofEngineering and Technology was successfully held on October 21this year at the Boxue Plaza on the SongjiangCampus. Seven countries participated in the event. The Pakistani cultural boothwas hosted by the School of Art and Design, with teacher Chen Lu and tutor from the School of Art and Design Teacher Li Jiali and all Pakistani students from theSchool of Art and Design participated.
During the event, Pakistani students useddances, songs and other forms to show their country's language and traditionalcultural characteristics. On the booth, adazzling array of Pakistani specialty snacks, snacks and staple foods attractedmany students to stop and taste them. Pakistani international studentsenthusiastically introduced their country’shistory, culture, and customs to Chinese students, organized a variety of interactive games, and presented Pakistaniperfume and balm and other exquisite gifts to teachers and students. The scenewas full of laughter and the discussion was lively. The teachers and students enhanced their understanding andknowledge of Pakistan during the exchange.
This International Day event aims to build acultural exchange platform for harmonious mutual learning and shared beauty,highlight the international characteristics and multicultural atmosphere of theSchool of Art and Design, and showcase the colorful campus cultural life andthe vigorous youthful vitality of Chinese and foreign students. It not onlyprovides Pakistani students with an opportunity to showcase themselves andnational culture, but also opens a window for Chinese students to understandPakistan. Participating students expressed their hope that there will be morecultural exchange activities between China and foreign countries in the future,so that students from different countries can learn from each other and growtogether.
