On May 22, 2025, the Department of Social Design of the School of Art and Design organized a "Symposium on Postgraduate Teaching of Visual Communication Design". Professor Wu Wenzhi, Vice Dean of the School, and some postgraduate supervisors attended the meeting. They had in-depth exchanges with postgraduates majoring in visual communication design on the pain points and difficulties in teaching, and jointly explored feasible paths to optimize teaching quality and talent training models.

At the meeting, teacher representatives responded to the questions raised by students based on their teaching practices. They emphasized that the postgraduate stage is a critical period for improving professional literacy and enhancing career development momentum. Students need to clarify their learning goals, focus on academic research and practical innovation, consolidate their professional foundation by completing course assignments with high quality, and strengthen their abstract thinking abilities.

This symposium has provided practical references for teaching reform. Taking this meeting as an opportunity, the college will continue to optimize the postgraduate training system, and strive to cultivate high-quality visual communication design professionals with both innovative and practical abilities.
