On the afternoon of March 14, the unveiling ceremony of the "Cultural Product R&D Collaborative Innovation Center" jointly established by the School of Art and Design and Shanghai Hero Gold Pen Factory was successfully held in Conference Room A412 of the Art Building. Dong Wenbin, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Hero Group and Chairman of Hero Gold Pen Factory; Li Weifeng, Chairman of Shanghai Yuyi Culture and Art Co., Ltd.; Li Yunxian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art and Design; Gao Zhu, Dean of the School of Art and Design; and representatives from both the university and the enterprise attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by Xu Jianghua, Vice Dean of the School of Art and Design.
The university and the enterprise jointly unveiled the "Cultural Product R&D Collaborative Innovation Center", marking that university-enterprise cooperation has entered a new stage of industry-education integration.
In her welcome speech, Li Yunxian emphasized that the college attaches great importance to the construction of industry-university-research collaborative innovation platforms. She hoped to give full play to the college's professional advantages and the brand heritage of Hero pens, so as to create products with cultural connotations and market influence; cultivate innovative design talents, inject young and international elements into Hero pens, and help the development of cultural industries; and realize the innovative integration of traditional cultural genes and modern design languages.
Gao Zhu introduced the school-running characteristics and overall situation of the college, focusing on elaborating the college's mechanism of co-constructing with enterprises, building industry-university-research platforms, driving by projects, and strengthening "dual-teacher guidance" for collaborative education.
Dong Wenbin introduced the brand development history and future development direction of Hero Gold Pen Factory. From the perspective of cultural IP development, Li Weifeng shared typical cases of how the cultural heritage of Cangcheng in Yongfeng Street is empowered by cultural and creative design.
This collaboration has established an integrated industry-university-research platform, providing opportunities for the co-construction of the college's design workshops and internship & employment bases. It also offers strong support for boosting the construction of Shanghai's "cultural brands" and the high-quality development of the university's design disciplines.
